Audax will retain a minority stake alongside Rensa\u2019s management. Terms were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Founded by Brandon Ost in 2017 and headquartered in Aurora, Illinois, Rensa is one of the largest U.S.-based privately held filtration companies. Its platform spans proprietary filtration media, filter design and manufacturing, and value-added distribution and services for applications including data centers, power generation, semiconductors, healthcare and life sciences.<\/p>\n<p>The new owners plan to support management as Rensa broadens its footprint across North America and Europe, both organically and through acquisitions. \u201cThe modern economy requires highly controlled environments across complex digital and manufacturing processes,\u201d said Vinay Kumar, a partner at AEA Investors.<\/p>\n<p>BCI, one of Canada\u2019s largest institutional investors with C$313.7 billion in gross assets under management as of March 31, 2026, invests alongside AEA, which manages approximately $19 billion. \u201cRensa\u2019s unique operating model and strong customer relationships create a solid foundation for continued growth,\u201d said Jon Salon, BCI\u2019s global head of private equity.<\/p>\n<p>The deal pairs a sponsor with a large pension investor in a direct co-control structure, a model that has grown as institutions seek lower-fee exposure to private companies.
