HedgeCo.Net \u2014 Grayscale Zcash Trust (ZEC) said in an August 21 8-K that its shares were anticipated to begin trading on NYSE Arca on or about August 25, 2026, under the ticker ZCSH, subject to regulatory approvals, and that the trust intends to change its name to The Zcash ETF on about the same date. The 8-K is explicit: \u201cNo assurance can be given that the Shares of the Trust will list and trade on the Sponsor\u2019s anticipated timeline, or at all.\u201d DailyCoin, writing this morning, independently said shares are expected to begin trading on NYSE Arca as soon as today, August 25, under ZCSH, and that Grayscale has not guaranteed the date. That is an anticipated uplisting. It is not a confirmed first print, and it is not a creation-unit tape.<\/p>\n
The wrapper is a conversion, not a new issuance of a blank-check fund. DailyCoin said the August 24 Form 8-A registered the shares for listing on NYSE Arca and that a post-effective S-3 amendment identified the registrant as The Zcash ETF. NewsBTC, working from Amendment No. 5 to the S-3, independently put the same on-or-about-August-25 NYSE Arca target, a 2.5% annual management fee, and a cash-create, cash-redemption model. DailyCoin also printed the 2.5% sponsor fee, payable in ZEC. Treat 2.5% as the filing\u2019s fee. It is not a Bitcoin ETF fee, and it is not a waiver.<\/p>\n
Related-party dry powder is a talk, not a close. DailyCoin said Grayscale is in talks with DCG International Investments over a potential contribution of about 200,000 ZEC in exchange for ETF shares, and that the arrangement is nonbinding. Do not mark 200,000 ZEC as a subscription. Coinbase Custody Trust Company is the custodian and Bank of New York Mellon the transfer agent and administrator, DailyCoin said. Those service roles are the filing\u2019s plumbing. They are not a listing confirmation.<\/p>\n
The object to mark is a privacy-coin trust converting to an exchange-traded product, gated by approvals. Allocators should keep ZCSH as the ticker, August 25 as the sponsor\u2019s anticipated date, 2.5% as the fee, and cash create\/redeem as the model. Anyone treating this morning\u2019s calendar as a traded NAV is ahead of the 8-K\u2019s \u201cno assurance\u201d sentence.<\/p>\n
The second-order read is how far the listed-crypto wrapper now stretches past bitcoin and ether. A shielded-asset ETP is a different regulatory object from IBIT.
