HedgeCo.Net \u2014 FalconX and Ethena announced a $1 billion secured warehouse facility that will deploy assets backing Ethena\u2019s USDe synthetic dollar into overcollateralized institutional credit. FalconX\u2019s August 19 statement is the primary. CoinDesk and crypto.news independently reported the same $1 billion facility, the same SPV structure, and the same roles.<\/p>\n

FalconX will originate, service, and manage collateral. Ethena holds a first-priority security interest over the vehicle\u2019s assets. Collateral sits at qualified third-party custodians, both the company and CoinDesk said. Loans are meant for institutional trading strategies, corporate treasury, and payments. The $1 billion is capacity, not a day-one draw. Do not invent a first-draw amount, a yield, or a share of USDe backing.<\/p>\n

The companies described the facility as one of the largest deployments of on-chain capital into secured institutional credit to date. That is their language, not a league table. CoinDesk framed the object as a way for Ethena to earn outside the crypto basis trade when perpetual-futures funding rates weaken.<\/p>\n

Do not recast this as a hedge-fund launch or a token raise. It is a revolving senior secured warehouse through a bankruptcy-remote vehicle. Borrowers and tenors were not named.<\/p>\n
