The captive vehicle will focus primarily on control equity positions in Crescent-managed CLOs, with flexibility to invest opportunistically in debt of Crescent CLOs and third-party CLOs. Institutional limited partners in the close included global insurance companies and pension funds, both outlets reported. Pulse2 also noted the firm managed about $53 billion of assets as of June 30, 2026.<\/p>\n
Crescent framed the raise as dedicated capital to keep control equity alongside its longer-tenured CLO issuance franchise, which the firm dates to 1993. The jump from $103 million to $232 million is the clean allocator signal: same strategy, larger institutional book, in what the firm called a competitive fundraising environment.<\/p>\n
