The CFTC release, numbered 9290-26, is the primary. Hedgeweek independently printed the same joint delay, the same July 1, 2027 deadline, and the same characterization of it as the fourth postponement of the expanded private-fund reporting regime.<\/p>\n<p>Form PF is the confidential report certain SEC-registered private-fund advisers file, including those also registered with the CFTC as commodity pool operators or commodity trading advisors. The commissions said the extra time lets filers avoid costs of implementing 2024 amendments that the agencies have since proposed to amend or eliminate. That later proposal was issued April 20, 2026. Hedgeweek, citing Bloomberg, said one element of the still-unfinalized April package would raise the Form PF reporting threshold from $150 million to $1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 amendments were adopted under the prior U.S. administration and have drawn industry objections over the security of strategy-level information. The April 2026 proposal has not been finalized. Crowdfund Insider carried the CFTC text in full, matching the October 1, 2026 to July 1, 2027 shift.<\/p>\n<p>This is a compliance-date extension, not a repeal. Mark July 1, 2027 as the new date for the February 2024 amendments, and treat the $150 million-to-$1 billion threshold only as a proposal. Anyone filing Form PF reform as already gutted has jumped the April package.
