Benzinga – You may have had better things to do on New Year’s Eve Day, but the folks at WisdomTree launched the last new ETF of 2009 on December 31. The WisdomTree International Hedged Equity Fund is fund of funds ETF using a hedge fund-esque strategy to generate alpha.
HEDJ invests in securities in Europe, Far East Asia and Australia and uses a currency hedging approach, rather than equity hedging. Utlimately the ETF invests in other WisdomTree ETFs like the WisdomTree Europe Total Dividend Fund (NYSE: DNB) and the Pacific ex-Japan Total Dividend Fund.
