News & Record – Local hedge fund manager and basketball coach Stan Kowalewski bypassed a court hearing Wednesday on charges of securities fraud by letting the government keep his assets frozen.
The decision in U.S. District Court for Northern Georgia means Kowalewski and his company, SJK Investment Management , must ask a judge’s permission to spend money from their various accounts for “ordinary and necessary living or business expenses.”
