Bloomberg – Bill Ackman, the hedge fund manager who wages campaigns against corporate management and boards, made more money for his clients last year than any of his rivals, according to a report.
Ackman, who runs Pershing Square Capital Management in New York, generated $4.5 billion for investors after fees, according to estimates by LCH Investments NV, a London-based firm that invests in hedge funds. O. Andreas Halvorsen, who runs hedge fund firm Viking Global Investors ranked second, making $4 billion.
