MarketWatch – MSD Capital, the firm that invests Michael Dell’s money, raised almost $780 million for a new energy hedge fund, the second time the firm has tapped outside investors. MSD Energy Partners raised $779.86 million, according to a regulatory filing Tuesday.
MSD Energy will be run by Brian Frank, who has run an energy investment strategy at MSD since he joined the firm in October 2008.
