New York (HedgeCo.net) – BNY Mellon’s Alternative Investment Services (AIS) division received top industry recognition in the 2012 Hedgeweek Awards last week in London, winning the Best Asian Hedge Fund Administrator Award.
“We see the bar being raised each year amongst hedge funds who are turning to their fund administrators to develop increasingly innovative solutions to meet their evolving regulatory and investor requirements, particularly around prime custody and middle office outsourcing,” said Andrew Gordon, Head of BNY Mellon’s Alternative Investment Services in Asia-Pacific. “These results, voted for by the industry, validate the investments we are making and the emphasis we place on getting it right for our clients.”
The awards were determined by the votes of Hedgeweek’s 41,000 subscribers, who include individual and institutional investors as well as fund managers and other industry professionals at firms including fund administrators, prime brokers, custodians, law firms, consultants and advisers. In announcing the winners, Hedgeweek said the 2012 awards “honour the resilience of the industry as it copes with a succession of financial and economic upheavals that began nearly five years ago, and that have ultimately contributed to its manifestly increased maturity and professionalism.”
