Hedge Funds Gain $56 Billion Net Inflows In 2010; JPMorgan, Goldman Rated Top Brokers

Barron’s – Hedge fund assets increased by $149 billion in the fourth-quarter to $1.917 trillion at the end of 2010, says Hedge Fund Research. That broke the previous high-water mark of $140 billion in 2007.

The year-end figure approaches the historical asset peak of $1.93 trillion set in the second-quarter of 2008 and represents an asset increase of 44% since the first-quarter of 2009, HFR added.
