AIFMD is an issue that is growing in importance as we approach July 22nd, the date by which Alternative Investment Fund Managers will have to be compliant with the new directive. Whether hedge fund managers are in favor of it or they are opposed to it, they will have to take it into account or risk being barred from trading in Europe.
