(Finalternatives.com) Hedge fund of funds company Aurora Investment Management will liquidate and return investor capital after a deal with a unit of Northern Trust to buy the firm fell through.
Northern Trusts’s hedge funds-of-funds manager 50 South Capital Advisors had announced an agreement to acquire the company in early March for undisclosed terms. Aurora, a unit of Natixis Global Asset Management, manages approximately $5.4 billion.
