Hedge funds back Moss Capital to run Charter Hall

The Australian – A trio of hedge funds are proposing that Moss Capital — founded by the former head of Macquarie Group’s property business Bill Moss — become the new manager of the Charter Hall Office REIT.

The hedge funds, led by New York-based Orange Capital, own more than 19 per cent of the securities in the Charter Hall Office REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust). They will issue documents around the middle of next week to call a meeting to consider removing Charter Hall as the responsible entity of the trust.
