AFP – The US Supreme Court will discuss Thursday whether to hear a challenge from Argentina against hedge fund investors, a case that could hold deep ramifications for the global sovereign bond market.
Argentina sought the highest US court’s intervention in the nine-year-old case to avoid being forced to pay out more than a billion dollars to investors speculating in its defaulted bonds.
