New York (HedgeCo.net) – Leading hedge fund industry figure Lindsey Clavel has been appointed as Director of Hedgebay’s UK marketing drive.

“The role I’m taking on is very exciting, particularly coming at the time it does.” Lindsey Clavel said “We have seen appetite for the secondary market from all participants in the investment industry, most notably pension funds, and with the secondary market now an established part of the financial mainstream, this is a great opportunity for Hedgebay to grow even further.”

Prior to joining Hedgebay in 2005, Lindsey spent 10 years running the metals trading desk of an Italian industrialist’s family office. Following her graduation from the London School of Economics, Lindsey joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and served for a number of years in the Middle East.

Hedgebay views the UK hedge fund industry as vital to the firm’s growth plans, emphasized by the selection of Lindsey to lead an increased marketing campaign targeting UK managers and institutional investors. In addition to overseeing and expanding Hedgebay’s user base in the UK, Lindsey will continue to manage her existing portfolio of clients around Europe. In her marketing efforts, Lindsey will work closely with Hedgebay’s business development operations in MENA, Australasia and Northern Europe.
