(Forbes) In what has become an annual summer tradition, Warren Buffett has once again donated a breathtaking sum of money to charity. This year: more than $2.8 billion.
Buffett announced the gift of 20.64 million Berkshire Hathaway class b shares on the company’s website Monday. Berkshire Hathaway’s class b stock closed at $137.39 per share Thursday, making the gift worth $2.84 billion. He gave away about $2.8 billion last summer, and $2.6 billion the year before that.
