Peregrine subsidiary buys London hedge fund

Business Day – Stenham Asset Management, a firm owned by financial services provider Peregrine Holdings, has acquired rival Montier Partners for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is the latest move towards consolidation in the £700bn hedge fund industry. Peregrine group CEO Jan van Niekerk said yesterday it will bring Stenham’s total assets under management to £3,5bn.
