Bloomberg – Hedge funds raised bullish bets on oil by the most since March as a tropical storm curtailed production in the Gulf of Mexico.
The funds and other large speculators increased wagers on rising prices by 15 percent in the week ended Sept. 13, according to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Sept. 16 Commitments of Traders report. Oil futures gained 4.9 percent in the period covered by the report.
