The Denver Post – Former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway and a business partner invested $15 million in March with Colorado hedge-fund manager Sean Mueller, who was charged this week in an alleged Ponzi scheme, according to court documents.
Mueller, 42, of Cherry Hills Village, turned himself in Wednesday morning, a day after being charged with racketeering, securities fraud and theft in a case that cost investors “tens of millions of dollars,” authorities said. He was being held in Denver on $2 million bond.
