Emii – Two staffers have or are due to leave the Securities and Exchange Commission for compliance positions in the hedge fund industry.
Fortress Investment Group has hired Andrew Walsh, at present an accountant with the SEC’s New York examination unit. His exact role at Fortress is being worked out but he is expected to join Fortress later this year, reporting in part to Michael Cohn, the firm’s chief compliance officer.
