(FinAlternatives) The U.S. hedge fund industry has $2.2 trillion in assets managed by 3,170 hedge fund managers on behalf of 3,209 investors, according to new data from alternative investment industry observer Preqin, accounting for 72% of the industry’s approximately $3.1 trillion in global AUM.
