Global Pensions – The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS ) has bought the rights to portfolio construction software to implement across its hedge fund and equity portfolios.
The software, known as OPTICS, was created by Jersey-based hedge fund manager Ermitage, which has managed a $145m bespoke European Multi-Strategy Portfolio for CalPERS since 2006.
