Bloomberg – Copper rose for a second day in London amid speculation that the U.S. economy is recovering and after hedge funds increased bets the metal may gain.
U.S. third-quarter growth may be revised to an annualized 2.8 percent, the Commerce Department will say Dec. 22, according to a Bloomberg News survey of economists, compared with a previous estimate of 2.5 percent. Hedge funds have the biggest net-long, or bets on higher New York copper prices, in five years, according to U.S. government data.
