Hedge fund giant to open Aust office: report

Business Spectator – A London-based hedge fund that manages $US9 billion ($A9.07 billion) is planning to open a Sydney office as part of a push into the Asia-Pacific, The Financial Times reports.

Caxton Associates has already relocated a senior portfolio manager to head the office, which will aim to develop the fund’s “trading capabilities rather than focusing on sales”, the report said.
