UPI – A former hedge fund trader who pleaded guilty to criminal charges in an insider trading investigation agreed to pay $540,000 to settle U.S. civil charges.
The civil settlement between the Securities and Exchange Commission and Danielle Chiesi — an associate of Galleon Group founder Raj Rajaratnam, convicted on insider-trading charges in May — was disclosed in a court filing Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal reported.
