New York (HedgeCo.net) Alternative management specialist Jeffery Moy has joined the Rockefeller Financial as Head of Private Equity, Moy will be responsible for oversight of Rockefeller Financial’s private equity and venture capital program, including the selection and review of third-party managers, the review of hedge fund portfolios and new business development.
Moy was most recently a Senior Managing Director at Liberty Mutual Investment Advisors, LLC, where, among other things, he spearheaded a strategy to broaden the firm’s alternative markets portfolio.
David M. Ratcliffe has been appointed to SunTrust Banks, Inc’s Board of Directors, effective Aug. 9, 2011. He also will join the Board’s Risk and Compensation Committees.
Ratcliffe previously served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Southern Company until his retirement in 2010.
Ratcliffe also serves as a member of the boards of CSX Corporation; GRA Venture Fund, LLC; Georgia Research Alliance; National Center for Civil and Human Rights and the Centers for Disease Control Foundation.
