WEST PALM BEACH, FL (www.hedgeco.net) – Highpoint Capital Advisors has launched its first hedge fund, Highpoint Domestic Partners LP. The new fund began trading on August 1st according to the firm,and is a domiciled in Delaware. Highpoint Domestic Partners employs a long/short equity strategy that utilizes strong fundamental analysis and financial statement analysis to identify companies withcompelling value propositions, growth opportunities, and earnings. The fund’s mandate, according to the firm, is “To outperform in an oscillating or down market and to participate in a bull market aswell, all with a substantially lower risk profile than the markets.”
Highpoint Capital Advisors stated, “The funds will employ a stock selection process, based on strong fundamental analysis that has proven its success in the various market conditions over the past four years. Our returns have also not become pressured when similar strategies enter the market, as has been the case with numbers of other hedge funds.”
Highpoint’s manager, Neil Levy has been successfully managing separate accounts for the past four years, and is excited to now provide this investment opportunity to additional investors.
The fund began trading with initial seed monies of $1 million, according to Highpoint Advisors. Their total assets under management are over $11 million. The minimum investment requirement is $250,000, and the fund carries a management fee of 1 percent, and a performance fee of 20 percent, with a high watermark provision.
The new fund allows for monthly additions and redemptions, with no lock-up provisions. Bear Stearns will provide prime brokerage services while Spicer Jeffries LLP and CCS Financial, Inc will handle the accounting and administrative functions respectively. The new fund has also enlisted the services of Michael C. Scher, Esq. as the legal Counsel. Highpoint Domestic Partners LP is also listed on hedge fund database, HedgeCo.Net.
