HedgeCoVest Launches 15 New Composite Models

New York (HedgeCo.Net) – In an ongoing effort to increase the alternative investment options offered to investors, HedgeCoVest launched 15 new composite models on December 16. As composite models, the trade ideas combine the collective expertise from the single-manager models into one portfolio to create “best idea” portfolios. The portfolios have been separated into sector specific models as well as specific directional portfolios.

As an example, assume several hedge fund managers are purchasing a particular stock for their portfolios. The Replicazor would identify this stock as a high conviction position. The Replicazor can take this information and create a portfolio based on the highest conviction trades of the models on the platform and create composite models from this data. The new offerings include long-only, short-only and long/short models and there are nine different sectors represented and one new index model, the HedgeCoVest Index Long/Short Model.

According to Evan Rapoport, CEO of HedgeCoVest, “By using the Replicazor technology to gather the best ideas from the managers on our platform, we have combined the advantages offered through technology with the advantages of human hedge fund managers. It has given us best idea products for different sectors as well as the overall market.”
