(Law360.com) Five former employees of Bernie Madoff’s securities firm asked the Second Circuit on Tuesday to overturn their convictions and prison sentences stemming from the epic Ponzi scheme, saying that prosecutors had made racially charged remarks at trial and withheld key evidence.A three-judge panel heard oral arguments in Manhattan court on an appeal by former Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC employees Daniel Bonventre, Annette Bongiorno, Joann Crupi, George Perez and Jerome O’Hara.
