JERSEY CITY, NJ – July 18, 2007 – Yorkville Advisors LLC, the investment manager to Cornell Capital Partners – a private investment firm that specializes in structured finance and direct investments – today announced that Richard Y. Roberts has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Cornell Capital Partners Offshore.

From 1990-1995 Mr. Roberts served as a Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In addition to his service at the SEC, from 2002 to 2004 Mr. Roberts served as a member of the District 10 Regional Consultative Committee of the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc., and from 1999 to 2001, he served as a member of the Market Regulation Advisory Board of the NASD and from 1996 to 1998 he served as a member of the Legal Advisory Board of the NASD. Mr. Roberts was a partner at the law firm of Thelen Reid & Priest, from 1997 until March 2006.
Prior to his tenure at the SEC, Mr. Roberts was the Chief of Staff and the Legislative Director to former Congressman and Senator from Alabama Richard C. Shelby. He received a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University, a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and a Master of Laws from the George Washington University Law Center.
Currently Mr. Roberts is a partner at Roberts, Raheb & Gradler, a regulatory and legislative consulting firm he co-founded in March 2006, where he provides legal, consulting and advisory services to clients on issues relating to financial institution regulation and legislation.
The addition of Mr. Roberts brings the Offshore Board to six directors.
