CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug. 27, 2003–The Great Lakes Venture Capital Conference (GLVCC), the Midwest’s leading later-stage investment conference, has issued a call to high-growth companiesseeking a second or later round of investment to apply to present to a gathering of leading venture capitalists and other investors at the Nov. 13 conference, to be held at the Chicago Hilton &Towers.
Interested firms should submit their business cases starting on Sept. 1 by going to the GLVCC Web site at http://www.glvcc.com. Investors, entrepreneurs, service providers, suppliers, and others interested in attending–as well as firms interested in exhibiting–can also register online starting Sept. 1.
The most recent Great Lakes Venture Capital Conference, held in April 2002, attracted more than 400 attendees, including more than 100 representatives from venture capital funds, investment banks, and other investors, and featured presentations by 14 carefully screened, later-stage technology companies. An additional 60 companies exhibited their plans, investment needs, products, and services to potential investors and customers after the presentations.
The Nov. 13 conference will be staged with the full support and Gold-level sponsorship of the Illinois Venture Capital Association.
