CVC Agreed to Buy a Minority Stake in CDN77 at About a $1.9 Billion Valuation

HedgeCo.Net — CVC’s Strategic Opportunities platform agreed on September 23, 2026 to take a minority stake in Prague-based internet infrastructure provider CDN77, in what a Reuters source said valued the company at around $1.9 billion, according to Reuters and a CVC company statement. The investment is described as the first external capital into CDN77.

Founder and CEO Zden?k Cendra retains a majority stake and continues in the chief executive role. The company statement said financial terms were undisclosed and that the transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.

For allocators tracking European digital-infrastructure PE, the hard marks are the September 23 announcement, the Reuters-sourced ~$1.9 billion valuation, Strategic Opportunities as the CVC vehicle named, minority-stake structure with founder control retained, and the customary-approvals caveat. Do not infer stake size, check size, leverage, or fund vintage beyond what was published.
