Spot Bitcoin ETFs Took In $1.92 Billion Last Week, the Most Since October:

HedgeCo.Net — U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs pulled in $1.92 billion of net inflows in the week ending August 22, the largest weekly haul since October 2025’s $2.71 billion, CryptoBriefing reported from the daily tape. CoinBoss, aggregating Farside Investors, put Friday, August 22 at +$307.45 million for spot bitcoin ETFs, with BlackRock’s IBIT +$239.28 million, Fidelity’s FBTC +$30.19 million, and Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust +$13.62 million, and no bitcoin fund in its table posting a Friday redemption. That is a week wrap plus a Friday print. It is not Thursday’s already-published $606.3 million session.

CryptoBriefing said every session in the week was a net inflow and that Friday cooled to about $307.5 million after a mid-week peak. CoinBoss’s Farside table independently put Friday, August 22 at +$307.45 million. This desk already printed the August 19 and August 20 session tapes, including Farside’s $606.3 million on August 20. Do not republish those sessions. The new objects are the $1.92 billion week total, the October 2025 comparison, and Friday’s $307.45 million line.

Ether funds ran alongside. CryptoBriefing put U.S. spot ether ETFs at roughly $693 million to $697 million for the same week. A separate outlet put Friday ether inflows at $184.93 million with a five-day ether total of $697.18 million. Treat the week’s bitcoin $1.92 billion as the dual-sourced headline. Treat ether’s ~$697 million week as a companion print, not a second bitcoin number.

Category assets are a level, not a flow. CoinBoss put spot bitcoin ETF AUM around $96 billion on the Friday update; CryptoBriefing used approximately $96 billion. That is net assets, which move with price as well as creations. Do not read a $96 billion AUM print as $96 billion of new subscriptions.

The allocator job is to mark a week of creations, not a thesis change on bitcoin. Five green sessions after an earlier 2026 outflow stretch is a flow tape. IBIT still took the bulk of Friday. Anyone adding Thursday’s $606 million to Friday’s $307 million and calling it a new week is double-counting a session this desk already ran.
