HedgeCo.Net — Gatik, the Santa Clara autonomous-trucking company, said Tuesday it had raised $200 million in a Series D led by Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies, with Millennium Management, ARK Invest, Intact Private Capital, and others participating. SiliconANGLE independently reported the same $200 million Series D, the same two leads, and the same named participants.
The company said it has more than $600 million of contracted revenue, has completed 85,000 fully driverless orders, and runs a 99% on-time record across its regional distribution-center-to-store routes. SiliconANGLE printed the same contracted-revenue, order-count, and on-time figures. Intact Private Capital said it tripled its commitment in this round, a line that appears in both the company statement and SiliconANGLE’s account.
Koch’s venture arm is a returning backer. The trucks operate in Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, and Canada, the company said, serving Fortune 50 retail, grocery, and CPG supply chains. Do not print a cumulative capital-raised total or a year-end truck count unless both outlets carry the same number. SiliconANGLE’s roughly $500 million lifetime figure and its “more than 100 trucks this year” plan are not in the company release; leave them off.
QIA’s Abdulla Al-Kuwari, head of industrials, called autonomous freight a next-generation logistics infrastructure bet. Koch Disruptive Technologies president Byron Knight framed Gatik as autonomy that has moved from a promising technology into commercial operations. Those are investor comments, not operating metrics.
The allocator point is the mix: a Gulf sovereign and an industrial family office leading a Series D, with a multi-strategy hedge fund and a public-markets disruptive shop in the follow. Contracted revenue of more than $600 million is the commercial claim to diligence. Anyone still marking autonomous trucking as a pre-revenue science project is behind this round’s buyer list.
