ICG Closed Europe Fund IX at €12 Billion for Structured Capital:

HedgeCo.Net — Intermediate Capital Group said on September 9 that ICG Europe Fund IX held a final close at €12 billion, a 50% increase versus ICG Europe VIII and described by the firm as the largest dedicated structured-capital fund raised globally, according to ICG’s own announcement and independently carried by Alternative Credit Investor and AltAssets. Existing limited partners re-upped about €5.9 billion (about 77% by commitment); roughly 90 new LPs added about €6.7 billion. At announcement the fund was about 22% deployed across six investments; ICG elected not to lift the hard cap despite oversubscription.

Alternative Credit Investor’s September 9 write-up reiterated the €12 billion hard-cap print and cited firm AUM of about $126 billion as context for the platform’s scale. AltAssets separately emphasized the roughly 90 new LPs piling into the structured-capital strategy alongside the re-up majority.

This is a record European structured-capital final close, not a first closing or a soft target. Mark the €12 billion hard cap, the +50% step versus Europe VIII, the ~€5.9 billion / ~77% re-up line, the ~90 new LPs / ~€6.7 billion new capital, the 22% deployed / six-investment status at announcement, and ICG’s decision not to lift the hard cap as sourced. Do not invent named portfolio companies beyond the six-deal count, an IRR, or a hard-cap lift that did not occur. The allocator object is dedicated structured-capital dry powder at European record scale with heavy existing-LP continuity and a large new-LP cohort.
