Trading Markets – Tuesday evening, Salt Lake City-based online retailer, Overstock.com, Inc. (OSTK | charts| news | Powerrating), reported a favorable court ruling in its ongoing lawsuit against research firm Gradient Analytics and hedge fund RockerPartners. According to the report, the California Superior Court of Marin County issued a final ruling denying the defendants’ objections and motions to dismiss the case under California’s Anti-SLAAPlaw.
In August 2005, Overstock.com had filed a lawsuit against Gradient Analytics and Rocker Partners for conspiring to move down the price of the company’s stock for their own benefit.
