Crain’s – Last spring, Eric Dynowski and Brendan Caulfield left the IT department at Evanston-based hedge fund Magnetar Capital LLC to found Turing Group , a startup that helps security-minded companies in industries such as finance and health care shift more of their data into the cloud.
Messrs. Dynowski and Caulfield, both 37, have signed up 15 customers including Chicago-based Datalogics Inc. and Northbrook-based Compass Health Center . They tell Crain’s contributor Steve Hendershot about the process of selling risk-averse businesses on the prospects of the cloud.
