WEST PALM BEACH, FL (www.hedgeco.net) – The Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the largest futures exchange in the world, has announced plans to host its first Global FX Conference in London, on May 12,2005. According to the report, the Summit has been scheduled at Ironmongers Hall in London. The event plans to offer some of the industry�s best speakers, such as Spanbroek – Director of StrategicDevelopment, Getco LLC, and Francesca Taylor – Principal, Taylor Associates and author of Mastering Foreign Exchange and Currency Options.
Other speakers appearing at the conference includes, Cyril Cottu – Vice President, Co-Head of FX Asset Sales, for Goldman Sachs, Europe, and Colin Lambert – Editor, Profit & Loss magazine.
Rick Sears, Managing Director and head of CME foreign exchange product group said, “The enthusiastic response we received from the CME Global FX Summit in Chicago demonstrated that there is growing interest in FX futures, which is further supported by the fact that CME FX accounts for an ever-increasing market share of the overall FX market.” He added, “Given the importance of London in the FX world, we are pleased to be hosting our first summit outside of Chicago there. We believe this summit will provide anyone — from the novice FX investor to the experienced trader — with valuable insight into the FX market and a deeper understanding of the benefits of CME’s exchange model.”
The summit is scheduled to start from 3.00pm; the first hour will be devoted to an educational seminar for new individuals to FX trading.
