(CNBC) Stock futures are slightly lower early Friday morning as investors looked to the start of corporate earnings season while considering what the latest inflation data implies about the economy. Futures tied to the Dow Industrial Average lost 72 points, or 0.21%. S&P 500 futures were marginally lower and Nasdaq 100 futures shed 0.14%.
