New York (HedgeCo.net) – Hedge fund software provider PerTrac has added Lisa Corvese as Managing Director of Global Business Strategy and Jed Alpert as Managing Director of Global Marketing in response to the growth in hedge funds and the investment management industry as a whole.

According to PerTrac’s recent industry study, Sizing the 2010 Hedge Fund Universe, more funds are launching as alternatives become a larger portion of investor portfolios. In 2010, hedge fund assets under management (AUM) increased 11% over 2009 to $1.6 trillion and 1,184 new funds launched in 2010.
