AMHERST, MASS. (May 14, 2015) – The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association, a global leader in alternative investment education, is announcing the launch of its newest Chapter: CAIA Cayman Islands. CAIA’s 22nd global chapter, CAIA Cayman Islands will support the local alternative investment community, offering educational and networking opportunities that will also raise the profile of the Chapter and the CAIA Charter.
“The Cayman Islands have long been the leading offshore jurisdiction for alternative investments, and that status has only been further solidified by the presence of a deep pool of experienced industry professionals,” said William J. Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of CAIA. “Our new Chapter will allow us to further collaborate with our Members who call these islands home, while introducing CAIA to new candidates and making deeper connections in the local community.”
The launch of the CAIA Cayman Islands Chapter will be marked by an educational session and reception on May 14th, hosted by CAIA and the newly named CAIA Cayman Islands executive committee, which includes: Daniel Santiago, CAIA, Chapter Head and Director at Harmonic Fund Services; Robert Aspinall, CAIA, Director, Fiduciary Services at Intertrust; Philip Dickie, CAIA, Director at Harbour Trust Co. Ltd.; Marco Calleja, CAIA, Senior Manager at EY; and Jeffrey Goddard, CAIA, Associate Director at ManagementPlus Group. Mr. Kelly will make opening remarks, and a feature presentation will be provided by Turney Duff, former Wall Street trader and bestselling author of “The Buy Side.” Jude Scott, CEO of Cayman Finance, also will provide remarks.
The reception is open to local CAIA Members, Candidates, and those interested in learning more about the CAIA program.

The CAIA Association offers the only educational program uniquely designed for individuals specializing in institutional-?quality alternative investments. The CAIA Charter, which is granted upon successful completion of two levels of qualifying exams combined with relevant professional experience and joining the association membership, is the global benchmark for alternative investment education.
The CAIA Association has grown rapidly since its inception in 2002 and now supports chapters in financial centers around the world, with the Cayman Islands being the latest name added to that list. In just the last six months, new Chapters have been launched in China, Australia and Texas, as well as in the form of a Virtual Chapter, that brings together members from far-?flung locations in more than 60 countries that do not have a physical Chapter “on the ground.” CAIA sponsors more than 120 educational and networking events each year and has 32 academic partnerships with leading universities, including 13 in the Americas, 10 in EMEA, and nine in Asia Pacific.
