The Piedmont Angel Network, a venture capital group, announced Friday that it has invested in StemCo Biomedical Inc., which develops stem cell products for medical treatments.
Details were not released about the dollar value of PAN’s investment, which helped Research Triangle Park-based StemCo reach $10 million in its latest round of funding.
PAN, which has 68 members and nearly $4 million in capital, was formed in December 2001 to invest in startups with the potential for high growth.
It has previously invested in Kucera Pharmaceuticals, Batanga.com Inc., and AvidXchange Inc.
