Swiss fund assets down as investors flee equities

Reuters – Swiss mutual fund assets fell for the first time in half a year in May as the euro zone debt crisis impelled investors to pull money from equities and seek safety in gold and bonds, Lipper data show.

Outflows came to over 5.1 billion Swiss francs ($4.43 billion) for the month, with 4.9 billion francs gushing from equities alone.
