Barron’s – Ernst & Young and The Hedge Fund Journal released their 2013 list of 50 leading Women in Hedge Funds over champagne and canapes Thursday at the St. Regis Hotel in New York.
There are 33 new names on the list this year, and most are U.S. women. The only representative of the Europeans Thursday night was Elena Ambrosiadou, chairman and CEO of IKOS Asset Management. It is a hedge fund manager based in Limassol, Cyprus, with execution and research facilities in London, New York and Monaco. Considering it was only 1967 that the New York Stock Exchange had its first woman member, Barrons.com asked Abrosiadou what she has learned about confidence working in a man’s world.
