Application deadline for Intermountain Venture Forum-Boise extended to Aug. 27

Organizers of the fifth annual Intermountain Venture Forum-Boise have extended the deadline for applications from fund-seeking businesses from Aug. 8 to Aug 27.

The forum, slated Oct. 1-2 at Boise Centre on the Grove, will feature presentations to venture capital firms from up to 15 companies in the region.

Extending the deadline “is a response to several requests by companies that need additional time to finalize their applications and to update their business plans,” a statement said.

The event will be presented by the Boise Metro Economic Development Council - a unit of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce – and Boise law firm Holland & Hart. Brad Wiskirchen of the law firm is event chairman.

Participating venture capital firms are to include OVP Venture Partners, Village Ventures, Solstice Capital, Akers Capital, Frazier Technology Ventures, Highway 12 Ventures, Wasatch Venture Fund, InvestAmerica Advisors, UV Partners, and American River Ventures. Comerica Bank will sponsor a networking reception for guests.

“We expect the list of attending VCs to increase as the event approaches,” said Tom Loutzenheiser, a member of the organizing committee and the managing partner of Akers Capital in Boise.
