WEST PALM BEACH, FL (www.hedgeco.net) – Citigroup Asset Management has selected Raymond Nolte as chief executive officer of its hedge fund of funds Group. The 44 year-old Nolte previously worked aspart of the management of Deutsche Bank, his career at Deutsche Bank lasted for about 20 years. He will be based in New York overseeing the firm�s hedge fund of funds operations, according to thereport. He holds a BS degree in business administration from the George Washington University.
While at Deutsche Bank, Nolte was the Managing Director of the Bank�s Absolute Return Strategies, which includes both Fund of Funds as well as the single manager hedge funds portfolios. In addition to these responsibilities, Nolte will also oversee Citigroup�s hedge fund forum product.
In a press release on Tuesday, Citigroup said Nolte will report to David Vogel who is the Chief Executive Officer for the Citigroup�s global hedge fund of funds Group. Mr. Vogel said, �Ray brings an incredible wealth of expertise in the hedge fund arena to Citigroup�s Alternative Investments. His in-depth and extensive background in this very specialized market segment will significantly enhance and strengthen our business platform globally.�
Citigroup Alternative Investments oversees a wide variety of products including private equity, real estate, hedge funds and structured products for high net worth individuals and institutional accounts, with over $42.8 billion in total investor assets.
