New York (HedgeCo.Net) – Hedge fund giant Investcorp has struck gold again by seeding Prosiris Capital Management LLC, a credit-oriented investment manager founded by Reza Ali.

Prosiris has now surpassed $1 billion in assets under management, Investcorp provided Prosiris with an initial seed investment and served as the investment manager for its flagship fund.

“We seeded Reza in 2011 because we knew he was one of the most experienced and proven managers of complex credit and structured finance investing,” said Nick Vamvakas, head of development for Investcorp’s single manager platform. “We congratulate him and his team at Prosiris on this tremendous milestone and look forward to continuing our successful partnership.”

Investcorp had monitored the performance and operations of the fund and provided marketing services. Since inception, Prosiris, as investment adviser, has had responsibility for the strategy, trading and operations of the fund. Effective July 1st, Prosiris assumed all functions previously performed by Investcorp. Investcorp continues its seeding relationship and remains a strategic investor in the fund.
