IPE.com 30/Sep/05: UK – Barclays Capital says it has hired Gavin Orpin from PSolveAsset Solutions for its UK Pensions Solutions team.
Orpin was one of nine principals at PSolve, the investment consultancy owned by South Africa’s SanLam Financial Services which also owns actuaries Punter Southall.
Orpin, who has also worked at Mercer, has joined Barclays as an associate director and reports to Serkan Bektas, head of its UK pension solutions arm.
Former Mercer European partner Jon Exley joined the Barclays team in March this year.
