HedgeCo.Net — Los Angeles-based Truelink Capital said Thursday it completed its acquisition of JT Thorpe Group, a Salt Lake City provider of specialty industrial maintenance and thermal-management services across North America. Terms were not disclosed. Truelink’s PR Newswire release is the primary. Pulse2 independently printed the same completion, the same management rollover under CEO Kevin Howard, and the same Fund II platform framing.
Founded in 1906, JT Thorpe operates more than 30 locations and serves power generation, semiconductors, LNG, mining, steel, cement, and broader infrastructure end markets with refractory, fireproofing, insulation, access, and mechanical services. Truelink, which manages over $4 billion, called the deal the third platform investment for Fund II and said it will support organic growth and add-on M&A. Goldman Sachs and Harris Williams advised JT Thorpe.
This is a completed platform buyout with undisclosed consideration, not a signed-but-pending announcement. Mark Fund II’s third platform, >30 locations, 1906 founding, Kevin Howard continuing as CEO with a significant ownership stake, and >$4 billion Truelink AUM as the disclosed facts. Do not invent enterprise value, EBITDA, or a hard check size. The allocator object is an industrials-focused middle-market sponsor taking a durable specialty-services franchise as a Fund II platform.
